Creepy Lizards
I had a huge battle with an equally huge one today. 20mins, lots of insecticides, climbing, shifting of furnitures and frantic hitting later, I finally got it. Its tail is missing, but still measured more than 10cm and was disgusting thick. There was even some distinct designs on its skin. Quite possibly the largest I've ever seen. YUCKS!!

I'm Back!
Hmmm, where should I start?
Joey
He comes to mind first. Joey, who had been hospitalised on one occasion and gone for numerous vet visits, has been surprising stable for the past month. He still coughing occasionally, but i guess the increase in dosage of Lasik (which serves to remove fluid from his lungs) has stablished his condition for now. His skin condition has also improved with minimal signs of fungus now.
The visit to Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital during the visiting hours was not pleasant. Glum faces of pet owners filled the visiting area with their pets, many of whom were very sick. Joey appeared to staring blankly out of the cage when I visited him. Even when I put my face right in front of the cage, he was oblivious of my presence. I called him and he responded by wagging his tail immediately. He must have been lonely and depressed in the unfamiliar environment. Thankfully he was ready to go home after two nights.
Raw Duathlon (5km run, 40km bike, 5km run)
Only 5% of all participants chose to use a mountain bike and I was one of the jokers. With my bicycle being 3 times heavier than the average road bike or racers, thicker tyres which produced so much unnecessary traction, I was constantly being over-taken and even lapped by those with meaner equipments. By the end of the gruelling cycling leg, my right knee was hurting. Giving up was never a consideration, so I walked under the blazing sun for the remaining 5km to finish 242 out of 252 fellow competitors who completed the same category. The consolation was that there was another 60 competitors who did not clock a legitimate time. I assumed they had given up along the way.
Yamaha Electone EL-900
I finally purchased it! Costing $3,800, the condition is remarkably good despite being at least 8 years old. I can now finally play songs which made full use of a much wider range of registrations. Selling my older EL-100 is a problem though. I've buyers quoting $500 but I'm still hoping to fetch at least $700.
MISC
- I got my 3rd IPPT GOLD! Yippee!!
- Training hard for my Grade 7 Exam in Sep 09
- Attended G*erald's wedding in Bangi, KL
- On-going renovation in office. Will need to move to a temp holding area next week.
